In June, when the Delonix Regia flowers blossom, another group of graduates will leave their dear Alma Mater, Xiamen University. On May 24, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., the farewell dinner for the 2019 Graduates of the Institute for Financial and Accounting Studies (IFAS) was held at Qunxian Hotel. In attendance were: Ye Jianming, the Dean of the School of Management as well as IFAS, Hong Qiuxia, the Vice Secretary of the party committee of the School of Management, teachers and students of all grades.
At 1 p.m., the preparatory team went to the banquet venue to decorate the sites and rehearse the programs in advance. The display board was eye-catching and with the inscription "Happy Graduation to the 2019 Graduates of IFAS!".

At 5 p.m., the team in charge of checking in, guiding and taking pictures of the graduates were ready, waiting for the guests to arrive. The graduates took pictures in front of the display board under the guidance of some volunteers.

At 6 p.m., with the background music of Superstar in Troubled Times, the teachers came in one after another. Cui Li captured many lovely smiling faces while Liu Suyi was in charge of introducing the teachers. The students welcomed them with warm applause.

At 6:30 p.m., the dinner officially began. First, the Dean, Ye Jianming delivered a speech. He expressed his best wishes to the graduates and his hope that they would “often come back home”. Next, the teachers’ representative, Dr. Liu Zhiliang, the student representatives, Li Guosheng and Daniel Kaiser delivered their speeches respectively.

After everyone had enjoyed the delicious meals, the preparatory group displayed some wonderful programs. Heart-shaped candles were held by some ladies as they sang the song “Wish”. Next, a folk dance “Who is my groom” pushed the atmosphere to the peak. Subsequently, the “Lovelorn Front Alliance” rang out, Li Jing, Chen Xuehua and other students crowded on the stage with the teachers presence, while the versatile international students improvised dancing, the scene was full of joy and laughter. Finally, in the song “Goodbye”, graduates stepped onto the stage to express their gratitude to the teachers and the preparatory team.

The IFAS dinner demonstrates the unity, friendliness and positive atmosphere of our school, promotes the communication between Chinese and foreign students, improves the students' leadership, and also makes graduates feel the warmth of home. From what I see in your eyes, you are an IFASer tonight!
