At 7:30 PM on June 14, 2020, the Graduate Student Union of IFAS held an experience exchange meeting for graduates of the class of 2020 through Tencent conference platform. Students from the class of 2018 and 2019 participated in the meeting through online connection.

The seminar was hosted by Fan Yu. The meeting was progressed with three parts: online group photo, experience sharing and free questions.
At the meeting, Sun Tianxiang, who works in Hangzhou Zhonghai Real Estate, Fu Yun, who works in The Investment Banking Department of Industrial Securities in Shanghai, and Wang Yameng, who works in The Fund, patiently and meticulously shared their experiences on internship, work and graduation thesis preparation.
Sun Tianxiang shared his experience in oral defense, thesis proposal, internship and autumn recruitment. When talking about thesis proposal, Sun Tianxiang suggested that we should actively communicate with the supervisor and choose a feasible and innovative research direction which is closely in line with that of the supervisor. As for the oral defense, Sun Tianxiang recommended junior students to tell a good story and build a supporting model to enhance the convincing power of the story. Sun Tianxiang shared his daily internship experience in Xiamen Zhonghai Real Estate, and pointed out that only through longterm hard work, exposure to the core business, and gaining substantial growth from learning that we could obtain a highquality internship experience. In terms of preparation for the autumn recruitment, Sun Tianxiang first sorted out the timeline of the real estate interview, and mainly shared his interview experience in Hangzhou Zhonghai Real Estate "Son of the Sea", Country Garden Fujian "Super Bee" and Hangzhou Poly "With partners", and showed his selfmade "2019 Autumn Recruitment Information Table". Sun Tianxiang reminded junior students that when choosing a career, they should not only plan ahead and strike with precision, but also think independently by combining with their existing professional knowledge and internship experience.

Fu Yun mainly shared her ups and downs in the Investment Bank in terms of the nature, content and perception of the work. Fu Yun believed that "everything should be done patiently and carefully. It will take a long time for us to have access to the company’s core business". In addition, Fu yun reminded junior students who want to be engaged in investment banking to pay attention to the retention probability to avoid internship mistakes of top securities companies and choose suitable jobs. Finally, Fu yun reminded junior students to return to their student duties, prepare thesis in advance, settle down the research topic as soon as possible, and temper the final draft.
Wang Yameng shared her experience in internship, thesis proposal and defense. In terms of internship, Wang Yameng shared her insights on bond and equity business. Wang Yameng reminded junior students to pay attention to the summer internship. In addition, Wang Yameng carefully "cut holes" for junior students from the aspects of public account recommendation, delivery method, information management of autumn recruitment, accumulation of interview experience, and interviewers' focus. Wang Yameng suggested junior students not only interact with advisors, but also communicate with senior schoolmates. In the aspect of oral defense, Wang Yameng specifically mentioned the attitude that we should have for thesis defense. She suggested that junior students should listen to teachers' comments and opinions with an open mind and answer questions with clear thinking, sincere words and honesty.
In the final free question session, students actively participated in asking questions. Three graduates from Grade 2017 have done their best to solve their queries and shared more experiences with them. The experience exchange meeting ended successfully with a chorus of thanks.
