Recently, the paper independently completed by Mohamed Kamara from the Institute for Financial & Accounting studies (IFAS) was published in the African Journal of Business Management, which is indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI).
The study examines the electronic mobile payment system (EMPS) in transacting goods and services. This study reviews the orange mobile money app (OMMA). An App operated by Orange Mobile Company in Sierra Leone since 9 September 2022. Primary data was obtained from OMMA consumers, and reviewed published journals and articles. 50 questionnaires were issued through Google Forms and other electronic social apps. 30 articles and journals were reviewed accordingly to give empirical result analyses. The data were analysed using Stata and presented in pie charts and simple bar charts as statistical figures. The results show that EMPS leads toward a cashless society with a minimal security threat compared to the conventional cash-based system, as the system increases financial inclusion, shows convenience in business transactions, and enhances security.
