On October 17, 2025, the 8th Graduate Student Congress of the Institute of Financial Management and Accounting (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") at Xiamen University was successfully held in Room 501, Jiageng Building No. 2. Distinguished guests attending the congress included Zhou Minqin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management; Hu Jinshuai, Vice Dean of the Institute of Financial Management and Accounting; Liu Qian, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Management; Huang Jinfu, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Management; Liu Qun, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Management; Chen Yimei, Counselor of the School of Management; as well as representatives from the Xiamen University Graduate Student Unions ,and the elected student representatives from our Institute.

The congress officially began at 3:00 PM. The session was presided over by Zhang Ruobing , a graduate student of the Class of 2025, who first read out the meeting instructions and the official approval from the University Graduate Student Union. Zhang Ruobing then announced the methods for the generation of representatives and the Qualifications Review Report, both of which were unanimously approved by all attending representatives. Immediately after, the conference commenced. All attendees rose and sang the National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China.

Zhou Minqin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, delivered speech. He fully affirmed the work style of the seventh Graduate Student Union of the Institute of Financial and Accounting, which upholds the principles the integrity and innovation, and demonstrates practically and dedication, achieving excellent results in organizing activities and serving students. He placed high hopes on the new Graduate Student Union, encouraging students to deeply study and comprehend the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letters to the 14^th National Congress of the All-China Youth Federation and the 28^th National Congress of the All-China Students’ Federation. He called on them to become young people of the new era who have ideals, dare to take responsibility, can endure hardships, and are willing to strive hard, to actively integrate into the high-quality development of the Institute, and to write a brilliant chapter of youth in the great practice of Chinese modernization.

Du Jialu , the representative of the Presidium of the 35^th Xiamen university Graduate Student Union , highly commanded the work of Institute’s Graduate Student Union over the past year. She pointed out that the Union’s work had been remarkably effective and featured prominent highlights. Regarding the work for upcoming year, Du Jialu emphasized the importance of deepening the linkage and collaborative development between the university and the schools and institutes ,to effectively improve the service quality and operational efficiency of the Graduate Student Union.

Li Bohan, Executive Chair of the Institute's Student Union., delivered the work report.Li Bohan reviewed the work journey of the 7th Graduate Student Union over the past year .He expressed the hope that the new Graduate Student Union would take over the baton with proactive and enterprising attitude, inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the Institute, and strive for breakthroughs , innovation,and determined progress..

After the unanimous approval of the method for selecting members of the Presidium of the 8th Student Union of the Institute by all attending representatives, candidates Wu Donghong, Zhuo Ye, and Wang Yilian their campaign speeches respectively.The passionate and fervent speeches of three candidates not only clearly presented the solid past achievements of their past work but also outlined a promising blueprint for new Union’s work with innovative and feasible improvement goals and development plans. Everyone felt full of confidence and expectation for the work of the new Graduate Student Union, firmly believing that under the efforts of the new team, the Institute's Graduate Student Union would contribute more to the development of the Institute and the growth of the students.

Following the unanimous deliberation and approval of the election method for the 2025 Graduate Student Congress of the Institute by all attending representatives, the congress moved to the election of Presidium members by vote of the recommended representatives.

Witnessed by all attending teachers and students, vote supervisors Wang Luyi and Huang Jinni announced that Wu Donghong and Zhuo Ye were elected as members of the Presidium of the 8th Student Union of the Institute of Financial Management and Accounting. Subsequently, all teachers and students stood and sang the "Xiamen University School Song."

With this, the 2025 Graduate Student Representative Conference of the Institute of Financial Management and Accounting successfully concluded. It is believed that  the new Presidium of the Institute's Graduate Student Union will bear in mind responsibilities and missions conveyed in this congress, live up to the trust and expectations of teachers and students, lead  students in effectively carrying out various student activities, and make greater contributions to the development of the Institute.
